Soviet filmmakers understood the power of the screen and the moving image as few others have done. Included in the exhibition are Sergei Eisenstein’s Battleship Potemkin, and Dziga Vertov’s Man With a Movie Camera, as well as works by lesser known filmmakers such as Grigory Kozintsev and Yakov Protazanov, who have been previously overlooked or excised from the history of the medium.  Details on all of the films can be found here.
