In 1989, R.B. Kitaj published his First Diasporist Manifesto, which questioned what it means to be a Jew. Creating many more pieces related to anti-Semitism and Jewish identity, Kitaj called his movement "Diasporism." Eclipse of God continues this narrative theme, drawing inspiration from literature, history, and biblical references. Expand your understanding of Kitaj's piece in this 30-minute gallery discussion led by Director of Education, Nelly Silagy Benedek. This series continues on December 1.
