Examine the ways in which Pierre Chareau’s design practice was ahead of its time in this 45 minute gallery talk led by Chris Gartrell, Assistant Manager of Adult Programs, in the exhibition Pierre Chareau: Modern Architecture and Design. Look closely at how Chareau’s designs merged industrial technology and traditional materials, and how furniture and decoration were part of his modern conception of interior space as an integrated whole.
