Chief Development Officer
Jonah Nigh joined the Jewish Museum's staff in 2015 and has previously served as its Director of Major Gifts, Senior Director of Individual Giving, and Acting Deputy Director of Development. He was appointed to Chief Development Officer in February 2020. In this role, he oversees the planning, management, and success of the Jewish Museum's overall fundraising efforts which include membership, special events, institutional giving, major gifts, and planned giving.
Jonah has over twenty years of arts experience, fifteen of which have been in fundraising. Prior development roles include positions at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Columbia Journalism School, Columbia School of the Arts, OPERA America, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, among other institutions. He has also worked as a consultant for several nonprofit organizations.
A former classical singer, Jonah earned his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees at Lawrence University and New England Conservatory, respectively. He has served as a guest moderator and panelist for the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, Con Edison Musicians’ Residency Program, and OPERA America, among other organizations.
