Deborah Davis discusses her new book The Trip: Andy Warhol’s Plastic Fantastic Cross-Country Adventure, which chronicles the cross-country road trip that Warhol took from New York to Los Angeles in 1963, and illuminates how that journey – and the artists and celebrities whom Warhol met along the way – profoundly influenced his life and art.  Davis will be joined by writer and critic Blake Gopnik, regular contributor to The New York Times and author of the upcoming biography Andy Warhol: A Life as Art.

General Admission tickets are sold only at the Museum and valid for the day of visitation.

If the program is sold out, there will be a message on the box office line.

In Person

Tickets can be purchased in person at the Museum's admission desk during regular Museum hours, excluding Saturdays.

Ticket Policies

  • If your ticket was emailed to you, present the ticket on your mobile device or print-out of your ticket.
  • If you selected “will call,” tickets will be waiting for you at our front desk will call station.
  • Ticket purchase for events at the Museum includes admission to the galleries on the day of the program.
  • Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Please note that seating is limited; we recommend purchasing tickets in advance.
  • Ticket holders are encouraged to arrive promptly, as seating is not guaranteed once a program has begun.
  • Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded.
