This documentary tells the century long, four-generation story of the famed Lower East Side smoked fish emporium Russ & Daughters. Staring Anne Russ Federman and Hattie Russ Gold, two of the original Russ Daughters, as well as younger generations of the Russ family and prominent customers like Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Mario Batali and Morley Safer. The film was an official selection of the Berlin International Film Festival, the Jerusalem Jewish Film Festival and more than 90 others. Selected Best of the Fest at San Francisco Jewish Film Festival and winner of 9 Audience Choice awards.

This event will feature special appearances by the film’s director Julie Cohen, as well as Niki Russ Federman and Josh Russ Tupper.
