1 – 3 pm
Zoom

This program is at capacity. If you have questions or would like to receive advance notification about future programs, please email info@thejm.org.

In this two-session virtual workshop, learn stencil and pochoir techniques to create posters with a meaningful message, using materials at home that you will order online. Participants will draw inspiration from protest posters by contemporary artists on view in the exhibition We Fight to Build a Free World: An Exhibition by Jonathan Horowitz.

In the first class session, museum educators will provide detailed instruction on how to make a stencil to create multiple posters using paint, rollers, and brushes. Participants will then spend the intervening week making their stencils and experimenting with printing posters. In the second session, participants will continue to create artwork and spend time discussing the final projects. Class sessions take place on Zoom and include live instruction.

Please note this is a two-session class. Ticket purchase is required and includes both sessions. All skill levels welcome.

Deadline to register is Wednesday, December 30.
