Access Sundays: Sacred Splendor

Visitors ages 18 and up with intellectual or developmental disabilities and their families are invited to join us for a multi-sensory program exploring Sacred Splendor: Jewish Ritual Art and Christian Treasures from St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague.

Through an exploration of objects from Jewish and Christian communities in medieval and early modern Central Europe, “”Sacred Splendor”” presents themes of devotion, memory, and sacred space. The exhibition highlights extraordinary reliquaries from the treasury of St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague alongside objects from the Jewish Museum’s holdings, loans from public collections across Europe and the United States, and contemporary artwork. Together, these works tell stories about the similarities and differences between Jewish and Christian religion and art.
