LIVE MUSIC
A musical performance by Matt Darriau World Klezmer Kapelye (three sets at 6 pm, 7 pm, and 8 pm), presented as part of our ongoing collaboration with Bang on a Can, will take place outside the Jewish Museum on Fifth Avenue.
Matt Darriau’s World Klezmer Kapelye is a newly formed group featuring veteran musicians from the eclectic “downtown” music scene and lead by longtime Klezmatics reed player, Matt Darriau. The group will be performing repertoire from Darriau’s broad musical experience in Klezmer, Balkan and original pieces in his ethno-jazz esthetic. Featuring: Marcus Rojas on tuba, Aaron Alexander on drums Jessica Lurie on reeds, Curtis Hasslebring on trombone and Max Kutner on guitar.
