Participants in the ASL community are invited to explore the exhibition Ilit Azoulay: Mere Things through a tour led by a Deaf Educator.

Initially trained in photography, Ilit Azoulay has developed an interdisciplinary, research-based practice that explores how images and objects shape memory, produce knowledge, and support or undermine historical narratives. She deploys the disruptive strategies of photomontage—manipulating scale, perspective, and context—along with sound and sculptural elements to recast both prosaic and precious objects in new roles. The exhibition includes selections from 2011 to the present, including new work that responds specifically to the collections and context of the Jewish Museum.

Due to limited capacity, ASL students will not be admitted to the program and no voice interpretation will be provided.

All Access Programs are free of charge and require advance reservation. Please contact access@thejm.org or 212.423.3289 for any questions or to request accommodations.
