Learn observational drawing and sculptural techniques through exploration of artworks on view in The Book of Esther in the Age of Rembrandt while the galleries are closed to the public. During this in-person workshop taught by teaching artist Hollie Ecker, look closely at paintings, prints, and Jewish ceremonial objects by Rembrandt and his contemporaries. Participants will be guided through a variety of art-making processes, including observational drawing, tonal studies emphasizing light and dark, printmaking, relief sculpture and metal repoussé.

All skill levels welcome; all materials provided.
