Jewish Museum members are cordially invited to exclusive preview access to our upcoming exhibition, Ben Shahn, On Nonconformity.

Featuring 175 artworks and objects from the 1930s to the 1960s, including paintings, mural studies, prints, photographs, commercial designs, and ephemera, the exhibition highlights the enduring relevance of Shahn’s art across media, while revealing new insights into the complexity of his aesthetic and his decisive shift from documentary to allegorical and poetic styles in pursuit of a visual language that would resonate widely.

On this special Member Preview day, hear a brief introduction to the exhibition from Guest Curator, Laura Katzman in collaboration with Curator, Stephen Brown from 2:00-2:30pm in Scheuer Auditorium. Experience the exhibition for the first time during exclusive members-only hours from 11 am to 8 pm.

Advanced registration is highly recommended for the Curator Introduction. Please reserve your free timed ticket here for 2 pm.
