A Workshop for Educators

Educators

Thursday, July 10, 2025
10:30 am – 1 pm EDT
Exhibition Galleries, Scheuer Auditorium

Join us for a workshop that explores the exhibition, Ben Shahn, On Nonconformity. Ben Shahn (1898-1969), a progressive artist, was committed to chronicling and confronting the pressing social issues of his era, spanning from the Great Depression to the Vietnam War. Following a visit to the exhibition with a Jewish Museum educator, participants will learn printmaking techniques and create a poster about a contemporary social justice issue.

Program fee: $18

A limited number of spaces are available for teachers of self-contained special education classes and special education teachers in ICT classes to register free of charge by emailing schoolprograms@thejm.org.

New York State teachers may receive 2.5 CTLE hours.

A light breakfast will be served.

Register by July 7.
