Learn about the intersection of photography, fashion, and pop culture through three Jewish Museum exhibitions. Begin with an introduction to the emigré photographers who shaped magazine design in the postwar era in Modern Look: Photography and the American Magazine. In the following sessions take a close look at Andy Warhol’s pop art interpretations of Elizabeth Taylor and Marilyn Monroe, and revisit the work of fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi through the lens of the supermodels and photographers with whom he worked. Each tour is led by a Jewish Museum educator and is one hour in length including Q & A. Classes will take place over Zoom.
