In this two-part virtual workshop taught by contemporary artist Sonya Blesofsky, learn the basics of drawing by capturing your surrounding environment. Instruction will explore composition, line, value, and a variety of mark-making techniques. Participants will create a portfolio of dynamic drawings that express a personal voice while also finding inspiration in works from the Jewish Museum collection as well as in observations of everyday life.

This class will take place on Zoom and includes live instruction.

A list of required materials will be provided in advance of the workshop. Participants should have access to a computer with a camera and WiFi and will receive a Zoom link prior to the program date.

All skill levels welcome.
