In light of recent tragic events in Israel, Joanie will also include songs for hope and peace as part of the performance.

Bringing voice to children’s books removed from schools and libraries, Grammy Award-winning musician and activist Joanie Leeds is taking a stand against book bans with her newly released protest album for families. Inspired by a selection of banned and vibrant stories, Leeds honors them through songs in FREADOM, a multi-genre, multicultural album. Hear “Block Party,” “Cholent Time,” “Sign it Out,” and “Born That Way,” among other original tunes, that speak about families of all backgrounds in this special album release concert.

Tickets: $18 Adult; $14 Jewish Museum Family member
Children are free; Includes Museum Admission.

Concert ticket reservations are required for both adults and children.

Joanie’s band for this performance will include guest vocalists Flor Bromley and Laura Doherty along with Joan Chew on bass, Elena Bonomo on drums, and Ricky Pursuad Jr. on electric guitar.
