Visitors who are blind or have low vision are invited to join us for a descriptive teleconference tour exploring the exhibition Ilit Azoulay: Mere Things.

Initially trained in photography, Ilit Azoulay (Israeli, b. 1972) has developed an interdisciplinary, research-based practice that explores how images and objects shape memory, produce knowledge, and support or undermine historical narratives. She deploys the disruptive strategies of photomontage—manipulating scale, perspective, and context—along with sound and sculptural elements to recast both prosaic and precious objects in new roles. The exhibition includes selections from 2011 to the present, including new work that responds specifically to the collections and context of the Jewish Museum.

All Access Programs are free of charge and require advance reservation. Please contact access@thejm.org or 212.423.3289 for any questions or to request accommodations.

This program is presented with captioning through Zoom. The Jewish Museum is committed to making its virtual programs accessible to all. Please let us know if you need any additional accommodations, including live CART interpretation or ASL interpretation.
