Kids’ Rock Concert for Families with Joanie Leeds and The Nightlights at the Jewish Museum Dec. 20

New York, NY – Joanie Leeds and The Nightlights will perform a kids’ rock concert at The Jewish Museum on Sunday, December 20 at 2pm.  The Brooklyn-based kindie rocker Joanie Leeds and her band bring families to their feet with interactive, high energy performances incorporating a unique and playful sound ranging from pop-rock to gospel to country.  They will perform hits from her latest releases, Good Egg and Meshugana.

Tickets are $18 per adult; $13 per child; $15 adult Jewish Museum family level member; and $11 child Jewish Museum family level member.  This lively concert is for children ages 3 to 8.  Concert tickets can be purchased online at TheJewishMuseum.org/familyconcerts. Meshugana is Joanie Leeds and The Nightlights’ seventh studio album. Inspired by a decade of teaching in Jewish nursery schools and summer camps, Joanie has filled the 13 new songs with stories set in a Jewish context, embracing each holiday throughout the calendar year along with themes such as love, family, and the world around us. Previous albums include City Kid, Challah, Challah, I’m A Rock Star, What A Zoo, Bandwagon, and Good Egg.  The Washington Post named I’m a Rock Star one of the best kids’ CDs of the year.  Her City Kid Live! DVD, released in 2010, won three Telly Awards.
