New York, NY, May 6, 2020 - While the Jewish Museum is temporarily closed to the public, we hope you will explore our virtual offerings, which include a new video of a talk featuring artists Rachel Feinstein and Lisa Yuskavage and filmmaker Tamara Jenkins; an Instagram Live series of discussions with artists Beatriz Milhazes, Andrea Bowers, and Laurie Simmons; and a selection of films from the New York Jewish Film Festival available to stream at home. Once Upon a Time: Narrative in Art
A Conversation with Artist Rachel Feinstein and Lisa Yuskavage, Filmmaker Tamara Jenkins, and Jewish Museum Curator Kelly Taxter Now Available


Kelly Taxter, the Jewish Museum’s Barnett and Annalee Newman Curator of Contemporary Art, hosted a discussion with artists Rachel Feinstein and Lisa Yuskavage and filmmaker Tamara Jenkins, who all contributed to the catalogue for the exhibition Rachel Feinstein: Maiden, Mother, Crone. Their conversation was held on the evening of Thursday, March 12, 2020, without an audience, shortly before New York City directed residents to quarantine due to COVID-19. Free Virtual Family Performance with The Paper Bag Players
May 17, 11am to 12pm on Zoom


The Paper Bag Players at Home with the JM will feature several members of the Bags sharing songs and stories, and using props which may be found in their homes. During the program families will be invited to create with The Paper Bag Players using materials such as cardboard, paper bags (of course), and more. Click here for more information.
