Afterschool Program: Sound of Color
Art + Music for kids ages 3 - 7
Thursdays, Jan 8, Jan 15, Jan 22, Jan 29, Feb 5, Feb 12
Ages 3 to 7
This six-week program for preschoolers and their families explores how music and art playfully intertwine. Each class will embark on a thematic musical tour of the Jewish Museum’s newly re-envisioned galleries in partnership with The Diller-Quaile School of Music followed by an art-making experience in the studio. Experiment with how music and art connect through line, color, form and texture! Each class is led by both a museum and a music educator incorporating song, movement, and hands-on activities.
Starting at 3 pm, our Salon on the 4th floor will be available for having a small snack, reading books, and felt activities.
The Museum Educator and Music Educator will pick up the families on the 4th floor Salon space for the program at 3:30 pm. Stroller parking is available on the 4th floor by the restrooms.
