Apr. 6, 2026 10:30 am - 2:30 pm
Floor 4 Studio
At Capacity

This workshop is at capacity.

Students ages 11–15 are invited to investigate color in this two-day painting workshop taking place April 6 & 7 at the Jewish Museum. Through fun, hands-on painting activities, students will explore the basic principles of color theory, with room to explore and take creative risks.

What to Expect:

  • An introduction to key color theory concepts
  • Guided painting exercises focused on tone, shadow, and color mixing
  • Hands-on experimentation with a wide range of materials
  • Time each day to create a finished artwork
  • Opportunities to share and celebrate work with peers

This workshop is perfect for beginners or anyone curious about painting—no experience needed!  For more information or to register, email [email protected].

Please note: space is limited, and students will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.  We will maintain a waitlist once the class reaches capacity.

Teen Programs at the Jewish Museum are supported by the Gray Foundation, Epstein Teicher Philanthropies, Congregation Emanu-El NYC, and the Milton and Sally Avery Arts Foundation.

Additional support is provided, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the City Council and the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Kathy Hochul and the New York State Legislature.
