With a galloping start on horseback to “The Cactus and Balloon,” a tale of unlikely friendship to “Tree Angel,” where the audience helps save our treasured trees, “Hey There, Howdy, Everybody” overflows with zany fun and lyrical movement from the adored Paper Bag Players. Bursting with new work and classic sketches featuring hilarious stories, lively dances, lovable characters, and whimsical music that’s all wrapped up in the artistry of paper and cardboard costumes, sets and props. The Paper Bag Players inspire creative reuse for families just in time for Earth Day and take the audience on an adventure in art and theater they will never forget!
Tickets: $24 Adult; $20 Adult Jewish Museum Family Member
Children 18 and under are free. Includes Museum Admission.
Concert ticket reservations are required for both adults and children to reserve seats.
About the performers:
The Paper Bag Players is a non-profit theater company of adults who create and perform original, contemporary, musical theater for children and their families. Their shows, based on a child’s everyday experiences, combine short plays, rousing songs, freewheeling dances, audience participation, mime, and painting and drawing on stage. Common household objects, cardboard boxes and brown craft paper brightened with splashes of poster paint and crayon transform into their sets, props and costumes. The Paper Bag Players touring has taken them to 37 states and 12 countries internationally. The Bags have received numerous accolades and awards for their over 60 years performing.
