Writers and Artists Respond
Artist-Led Gallery Talk with Doron Langberg and Sarah Faux
Experience the exhibition Joan Semmel: In the Flesh through the eyes of contemporary painters Doron Langberg and Sarah Faux, who both celebrate desire and sexuality in their work. Langberg focuses on the importance of relationships, from close friendship to queer intimacy, pulling from the world around him for source material. Faux, much like Semmel, uses a first-person perspective in her close-up images of bodies and intimate positions, creating compositions that blur boundaries between figuration and abstraction.
Tickets: Free with Museum admission; advance RSVP required.
