Drypoint & Monoprint

Apr. 26, 2026 11:00 am - 5:00 pm
Floor 4 Studio

This program is at capacity.

Learn the printmaking processes of drypoint and monoprinting in this daylong workshop taught by artist and educator Kelwin Coleman. Drawing inspiration from artworks on view in the exhibition Paul Klee: Other Possible Worlds, participants are asked to peek behind the veil and explore the unseen in order to create a series of their own prints.

Drypoint is a printmaking method that involves incising marks into a plate, wiping ink over the surface, and running the plate through the press with paper in order to create a series of prints. Monoprinting is a technique that involves the painting, rolling, or scraping of ink onto a plate, which is then transferred to paper by the application of pressure.

No prior printmaking experience required. All skill levels welcome; all materials provided. This workshop will include a short break for lunch.

$175 General; $150 Jewish Museum Members.
