Acrylic Marbling

Jul. 21, 2026 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Floor 4 Studio

Learn how to make your own marbled paper using a modern material – acrylic paint – and traditional techniques in this daylong acrylic marbling workshop taught by artist and educator Sheryl Oppenheim. Prepare a marbling bath and paper, mix paints for marbling, and create both stone patterns and combed patterns. Get inspired by patterned Rosh Hashanah greeting cards on view in the exhibition Modernity and Opulence: Women of the Wiener Werkstätte (opening July 17, 2026), then create your own series of marbled greeting cards that may be used for the upcoming holiday.

All skill levels welcome; all materials provided.
