Drawing from Portraiture: Exploring Figuration in Women of the Wiener Werkstätte

Learn the fundamental skills of gesture, proportion, and perspective through an exploration of figure drawing. During this in-person workshop taught by artist and educator Hollie Ecker, engage in observational drawing techniques through the exploration of figurative works in the exhibition Modernity and Opulence: Women of the Wiener Werkstätte. While the Museum is closed to the public, participants will be guided through a variety of drawing exercises in the galleries, working from paintings, drawings and sculptures on view. Participants will depict the human form in a range of poses, including full-figure, seated, and portraiture.
