Center for Learning Opening Celebration
Family Day
Ages 3 and up
Join us to celebrate the opening of the new Pruzan Family Center for Learning and reimagining of the Jewish Museum’s collection. Experience striking displays of paintings and artifacts, make art in the renovated studios, discover a touch wall, and uncover artifacts in a simulated archaeological dig. Dance to the joyful sounds of a Funkey Monkeys superduo, build a colorful creation inspired by artworks in the exhibition Anish Kapoor: Early Works, explore the galleries with drawing activities, and collaborate on a vibrant fabric installation.
Activities:
Family Concert: FunkeyMonkeys Duo
11:30am and 1:30pm (30 minute sets)
Dust off your dancing shoes and join ‘Monkey Carey’ White & ‘Monkey Josh’ Sitron from the FunkeyMonkeys for a groovy sing-along inspired by the hit 1970’s record and book, “Free to Be…You and Me” plus a live (by request) piano karaoke with boogie breaks. Be prepared to sing, laugh and dance your heart out!
