Selections from The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess

Co-presented with The Metropolitan Opera

Nov. 20, 2025 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Exhibition Galleries

Join us for a performance from George Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess, opening at The Metropolitan Opera on December 2, 2025. This musical activation in the Jewish Museum’s newly installed collection galleries is inspired by themes in artist Jonathan Horowitz’s installation, “‘Ten Portraits of Jews of the Twentieth Century’ plus ninety-two more,” (2020). A brief talkback on the relationship between Horowitz’s work and the Gershwins’ opera will take place following the performance.
