Verbal Description Tour
For Visitors who are Blind or have Low Vision
Visitors who are blind or have low vision are invited to join us for a Verbal Description Tour exploring sculptural works from the exhibitions Anish Kapoor: Early Works and Identity, Culture, and Community: Stories from the Collections of the Jewish Museum.
Anish Kapoor: Early Works presents his rarely seen pigment sculptures from the 1970s and 1980s along with works on paper and the artist’s sketchbooks. The exhibition foregrounds Kapoor’s early and ongoing investigations of the boundaries of sculpture, color, and form. His work plays with perception, drawing on the psychic effects of color—and its absence—as well as the allure of objects that appear to defy their own material nature.
All Access Programs are free of charge and require advance reservation. If you have any questions or need accommodations, please contact [email protected] or 212.423.3289. If you are interested in observing this program, please reach out to us before registering.
