Adult Studio Workshop

In this daylong in-person workshop taught by artist and educator Daniel Herwitt, participants will explore the language of comics to create an alternative self-portrait inspired by artwork in the exhibition Draw Them In, Paint Them Out: Trenton Doyle Hancock Confronts Philip Guston. Following a tour of the galleries, participants will paint portraits exploring their alter egos and idiosyncrasies. Instruction will focus on the possibilities of a monochromatic palette as well as washing, hatching, and drawing methods.
