The Sound of Color
Art and Music Afterschool Program for Preschoolers
Ages 3 – 5
This six-week program for preschoolers and their families explores how music and art playfully intertwine. Each class will embark on a thematic musical tour of the Jewish Museum’s galleries in partnership with The Diller-Quaile School of Music followed by an art-making experience in the studio. Experiment with how music and art connect through line, color, form and texture. Each class is led by both a museum and a music educator incorporating song, movement, and hands-on activities. In addition to the Museum’s collection, children will have the chance to be inspired by the striking art and clothing in the exhibitions Mood of the moment: Gaby Aghion and the house of Chloé and Marta Minujín: Arte! Arte! Arte!
