In this two-session, in-person workshop taught by artist Zahar Vaks, learn how to transform clothing and fabric into art using a variety of painting and sculpture techniques and materials. Drawing inspiration from fashion and textile works on view in the exhibitions Marta Minujín: Arte! Arte! Arte! and Mood of the moment: Gaby Aghion and the house of Chloé, participants will consider the expressive possibilities of clothing, reflect on personal and social narratives contained in their own garments, and recycle items from their closets by turning them into uniquely “worn artworks.”
All materials are included. Participants may either bring their own clothing to transform into art, or use clothing and fabric provided by the Museum. All skill levels are welcome.
Tickets: $100 General; $85 Members
