This six-week program for preschoolers and their families explores how music and art playfully intertwine. In this session, we will discover texture in art, exploring the galleries in Scenes from the Collection to find the variety of materials artists use such as clay, wood, stone, paint and more to design their works of art. Sing songs and move our bodies relating to the theme, hear different sound textures with live accompaniment by a professional musician from The Diller-Quaile School of Music. Families will then experiment with a fun mix of tools and materials in the studio to create a book of textures.
The health and safety of our visitors and staff is the Jewish Museum’s priority. Due to heightened concern regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19), the Jewish Museum is temporarily closed. All public programs and events have been canceled and refunds will be issued. During this time, we will continue to monitor the situation and determine the need for continued closure.
Refunds for any ticketed programs will be administered automatically and will be reflected on your statement within 7 days.
