11:30 am – 2:30 pm EST
Floor 4 Studio

Ages 3 – 10

Unique in NYC, families may discover a passion for ancient artifacts in a simulated archaeological dig, open once a month on Sundays. Find and examine replicas of artifacts from the Museum’s collection through digging and uncovering these objects with trowels and brushes. Enjoy activities that include texture exploration, sketching and magnifying objects to examine details, and read books together with archaeology themes.

This program is facilitated by members of our Teen Intern program.

Free with Museum Admission; children 18 and under are free.
