Join us for "Combating Hate Through Art," led by Deputy Director, Education and Programs, Nelly Silagy Benedek.

Why use art to combat hate? Works of art have the power to express the stark reality and the complexity of prejudice, discrimination, and intolerance in experiential ways. By looking at and discussing works of art that address these disturbing concepts, we can often find ways to recognize and articulate the harm caused by toxic ideas.

This talk explores works of art in the Jewish Museum's collection that navigate issues such as antisemitism and racism through the lens of creativity, prompting contemplation and conversation and leading to understanding.

Please RSVP to confirm your attendance. We hope to see you there!
