Learn the art of figure drawing from a live model and explore a variety of sketching techniques in this afternoon workshop that takes place in the Museum’s galleries. Participants will explore Overflow, Afterglow: New Work in Chromatic Figuration, an exhibition that presents work by seven emerging artists who use color to challenge and push representations of the figure. Referencing this artwork as inspiration, participants will then create a series of drawings from observation and, in an experimental final drawing, play with composition and form to abstract the figure. This workshop will take place in the galleries while the Museum is closed to the public, offering an opportunity for private viewing and study.

All skill levels welcome; all materials included.

Tickets: $45 General; $40 Jewish Museum members
