Centering on the extraordinary innovations in modern painting made by Jewish artists Marc Chagall, Amedeo Modigliani, and Chaim Soutine, join an in-depth discussion of their work. Experience the visual culture of the early and mid-twentieth century through the lens of three Jewish Museum exhibitions that explored the ways in which each of these artists pushed cultural boundaries and confronted prejudices of their time. Each tour is led by a Jewish Museum educator and is one hour in length including a Q&A.

Classes will take place over Zoom on February 8, 15, & 22 from 6 - 7 pm EST.

February 8: Chagall, Lissitzky, Malevich: The Russian Avant-Garde in Vitebsk, 1918-1922

February 15: Modigliani Unmasked

February 22: Chaim Soutine: Flesh

Tickets: $45 General; $36 Jewish Museum Members
