Students view award-winning documentary films exploring themes—including identity, culture, and tolerance—inspired by the Jewish Museum’s collection. Engaging, guided conversations follow each screening.
Step (2017)
For High Schools
Step is the empowering story of a girls’ high school step team working to win a championship and succeed academically with the support of their teachers, teammates, counselors, coaches and families. In the face of Baltimore’s racial tensions, personal struggles with poverty, and uncertainty in the classroom, the girls use dance to express their emotions and relieve the mounting stress of completing high school. Directed by Amanda Lipitz.
