The Still Life Paintings of Chaim Soutine

Thursday, July 12, 2018
10:30 am – 12:30 pm
Scheuer Auditorium

Chaim Soutine, a contemporary of Marc Chagall and Amedeo Modigliani, is one of the twentieth century’s great painters of still life. His expressive paintings, with their vibrant color, dynamic brushwork, and startling subjects are thought-provoking and emotionally stirring. Join us for an immersive experience in the exhibition Chaim Soutine: Flesh where you will encounter works that engage the senses and pose fundamental questions about the nature of painting and its potential to address complex ideas. The program will include tours of the exhibition with Museum educators and related art activities.

$12 (includes light breakfast).

Teachers in City Council District 7 represented by Council Member Mark Levine and all special education teachers may register free of charge by calling 212.423.3270.
