Join us for a weekly series of in-depth explorations of select works of art on view in Scenes from the Collection, the Museum’s rotating collection exhibition featuring nearly 600 works from antiquities to contemporary art — many of which are on view for the first time.

Why do people move from one country to another and what do they bring with them? What do they leave behind? Join Jenna Weiss, Manager of Public Programs, and look closely at contemporary artworks such as Claire Fontaine’s Untitled (Tears) (2013) and Arlene Shechet’s Travel Light (2017), alongside 19th century Judaica. Together, discuss the personal and communal experience of immigration, connecting historical movements with contemporary issues.

Included with Museum Admission; RSVP Recommended
