Development Intern
The Development Department is seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented intern with a keen interest in fundraising and research. This internship is an excellent opportunity for a college or graduate student to gain first-hand professional experience in a museum, with introductions to membership, major gifts, and grant writing. The ideal candidate is an individual with a passion for museums and the ability to think creatively in a bustling cultural institution.

Responsibilities:
- Researching museum donors and gift histories, helping us make connections to future institutional fundraising goals
- Creating an organized system for disseminating the researched data on an institutional level
- Occasional miscellaneous projects, as assigned
Requirements:
- Excellent communication, written, and organizational skills
- Positive, can-do attitude with a creative stride
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Thorough knowledge of Word and Excel
- Interest in learning about fundraising in a major New York City cultural institution
- Ability to communicate and work with staff of all levels
- Passion for museums
- Ability to respect matters of confidentiality
- B.A./B.S. or M.A. candidate
