Exhibition Galleries Floors 1 & 2

Join us for an in-person tour of the expansive two-floor exhibition New York: 1962-1964 on view at the Jewish Museum through January 8, 2023. Educators will experience the exhibition and participate in discussion and gallery activities with a Jewish Museum educator. New York: 1962-1964 explores a pivotal moment in the history of art and culture in New York City. Through more than 150 works of art—all made or seen in New York between 1962 and 1964–the exhibition examines how artists such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Diane Arbus, Yayoi Kusama, and more responded to their rapidly changing world. 

 A virtual educator workshop in conjunction with this exhibition will also be available the preceding week on Thursday, Nov 10, 2022 at 5 pm.

Check-in begins in the lobby at 3:45 pm. Tours begin at either 4 or 4:30 pm and last 1.5 hours.

Program fee: $10
New York State Educators may receive 1.5 CTLE hours.

A limited number of spaces are available for teachers of self-contained special education classes and special education teachers in ICT classes to register free of charge by emailing schoolprograms@thejm.org.
